I keep being asked. Over and over again.
Truth is, I don’t know. And I don’t want to make a decision just yet. Building this blog meant time and care and a lot of effort invested.
I’m trying to download and export everything I have on here, and then we will see. It’s going to be a sour December this year, of that I’m sure. Very different from that first cold December day in 2012 when I started this journey. Six whole years of discovery and fun that will be ending so fast and so abruptly that I can’t even imagine. I can’t even begin to think of how blogging here will be from the 18th on.
I simply think Tumblr is digging its own tomb by letting go of all the big sex blogs that have been here since almost day one. Not my case, but still it is sad. It was amazing to connect and find likeminded people on here, to feel you could share and make others have fun.
But this is the end. Let’s be clear, they will be losing lots and lots of bloggers this month. And sad as it is, it’s Tumblr’s choice. I am not saying they’re not making the biggest error in their history, and I assume they think they will sell and survive. And maybe that’s true, but still it’s a big mistake. Cause it’s telling the world sex is wrong, that it should be hidden, that it can’t be portrayed as natural, that it needs to be flagged. This, my lovelies, is what hurts the most. The bittersweet knowledge this isn’t the platform it used to be. It’s just a making money scheme to sell more easily in the future. And that @staff is what will make thousands of bloggers leave what we thought was our home.
